The Mission of CoinSetters is to educate, empower, and prepare teens and adults to achieve financial freedom through practical financial planning, implementing financial best practices. As consumers, investors, and members of the workforce they will be equipped to make informed financial decisions.
Vision Statement: Our vision is to become the leading team in providing prudent financial literacy information to teens and adults nationwide. By transforming spending behavior, we strive to positively affect how individuals save and spend, one coin at a time.
CoinSetters was founded by three African American females whom all have received their Master of Business Administration degrees from Florida A&M University. Each of the founders are National Financial Educators Council Certified Instructors and are passionate about empowering all individuals from various economic backgrounds on becoming fiscally responsible.
Our goal is to encourage people to make confident and wise decisions with their money. We have established a series of creative engaging workshop experiences, along with interactive tools to serve as solid resources that will help guide and lead participants towards financial success.
Our curriculum is taught in up to 4 sessions: however, a list of all topics will be provided if customization is needed for organizational preferences. Over the course of consecutive weeks, the sessions are generally taught on the same day. Subjects include but are not limited to, Mindfulness in Spending, Budgeting and Saving and Smart Financial Goal Setting.
Scheduled to your organizations availability, we provide an in-depth presentation on each of the chosen topics, by incorporating handouts, videos, music, and/or games that coincides with the topics. By implementing these tools, our goal is to encourage participation, and in turn, create an interactive educational environment that promotes change in the participants' financial behaviors. Giving real-life scenarios and allowing participants to complete financial problem solving has been proven to guarantee favorable financial behavioral changes. We end our program with our highly anticipated, Coincert.
