Antionette Mutcherson, MBA
There is nothing more expensive than being financially illiterate.

Since she could remember, Antionette Mutcherson, has had an entrepreneurial spirit. Her journey has included co-owning two businesses with her sister Lexie Mutcherson including High Maintenance Events and Staff (2010- 2014) and The Bundle Bar (2012-2014). Mutcherson felt that she needed a piece of the puzzle to becoming the business woman that she always invisioned herself as. She decided to return to school and received her MBA from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in December 2017. Previously, Mutcherson received her Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Clark Atlanta University in 2007 and an Associate Degree in Jewelry Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2010.
It was while at FAMU she was asked to serve as a Minority and Retirement Security “MARS” Fellow, Mutcherson taught Financial Literacy throughout the university, community, and attended several conferences to present financial literacy research. Those conferences included International Academy of Business &Public Administration Disciplines, Decision Science Institute Meeting, Society of Business and Economics. As a MARS Fellow, Mutcherson discovered her passion of both learning and educating others on the importance of understanding and implementing financial responsibility. Thusly, she became a Certified Financial Education Instructor through National Financial Educators Council to maximize her opportunities to spread her new found financial wisdom.

Makisha Cameron, MBA

Born and raised in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Makisha Cameron earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tennessee State University in 2006. While earning her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University, Makisha Cameron completed her Master’s thesis which is now a published article titled “Media Influence on Body Image Dissatisfaction.”
Throughout her work with nonprofit mental health organizations and low socioeconomic communities within Tennessee and Florida, Makisha discovered her passion for helping other and giving back to the community. While attending Florida A&M University, Makisha Cameron promoted financial literacy, and progressive financial decision making within minority and low-income communities as a Minority and Retirement Securities fellow. As a graduate fellow Makisha presented research on Financial Self-Image at multiple conferences throughout the United States. Furthering her passion of giving back Makisha is also a Certified Financial Education Instructor which gives her the opportunity to continue to educate communities. She graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida A&M University in 2017.

Lexie Mutcherson, MBA
Some people are intimidated by their financial situation. My goal is to make people feel comfortable as we discuss their financial concerns.

Lexie Mutcherson has a passion to spread financial literacy, and is determined to change the conversation surrounding money. Ms. Mutcherson can be heard on the radio, using her voice as a platform to reach as many individuals in the Tallahassee area by providing weekly PSA’s to radio station WANM 90.5 the flava station. Prior to realizing her passion for financial literacy, Lexie Mutcherson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business administration from the Great Bethune-Cookman University in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration in 2017 from Florida A & M University (FAMU). Ms. Mutcherson thrived at Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry.
While in graduate school, Ms. Mutcherson was awarded the awesome opportunity to work under the Minority and Retirement Security Grant (MARS) as a MARS Fellow. While working under the MARS grant she was tasked with the responsibility to spread financial literacy throughout the campus and the local community. As a MARS fellow, she had the esteem privilege to conduct financial literacy sessions for the youth in minority communities. This program allows her to speak to youth and local urban communities about financial literacy. Ms. Mutcherson also participated in the 2016 Global Leadership Conference. At the conference, she shared her knowledge of financial literacy with local high school students.
Ms. Mutcherson has also presented her current research on Financial Self-Image at the 2017 Society of Business and Industry Economics (SOBIE) Conference located in Destin Beach, Florida and the 2017 International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (IABPAD) held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ms. Mutcherson also presented this research at the 2017 Decision Science Institute (DSI), which also held in Washington D.C. where she spoke about the scales used to measure Financial Self-Image among college students. At each of these conferences, Ms. Mutcherson will have journal articles published which are centered around her research on Financial Self-Image.
